Hit the magic number on my Calgary fixer-upper equity, now what?
After 6 years and roughly $38,000 in Reno costs, my place appraised at $210,000 more than I bought it for, so has anyone else crossed that 50% equity mark and just sat there wondering if selling is even worth it?
I mean, I saw this piece where the guy said "selling is the easy part, but that equity is only real if you cash out." And honestly, it made me wonder if you're just sitting on paper money that feels good but doesn't do anything yet. But hey, that's a nice problem to have, right?
