My basement drain backed up and the plumber found a toy car from 1998
Had a slow drain in my Calgary basement for months, thought it was just old pipes. Called a plumber last Tuesday and he spent 4 hours snaking it before pulling out a tiny metal car, all rusted. The label on the bottom said it was made in 1998, so it's been down there since before we even bought the place. Anyone else find weird stuff clogging their old Alberta home drains?

Found a petrified french fry in mine, proving my cooking is a historic hazard.

Oh man, that's amazing. I once found a fossilized chicken nugget shaped like a state I couldn't even name. It was harder than a rock.

Always figured old pipes were the only reason for slow drains. Finding a toy from the last century changes my whole view on it. What's the oldest thing you've pulled out of your house?
