Question about the right way to handle a pushy real estate agent at an open house

I was at an open house in Edmonton last Saturday for a bungalow listed at $415,000. The agent followed me room to room and kept saying 'this one won't last, you should put an offer in today before someone else snatches it up.' I get they want to make a sale, but I felt rushed and couldn't even look at the basement properly. On the other hand, my cousin says that's just how you get a good deal in this market, and if you wait you lose out. I ended up leaving without asking any real questions because it felt like a sales pitch. Does anyone else find this pushy approach makes you trust the agent less, or do you think it's smart business?

Haha reminds me of this agent I had once in Calgary who literally blocked the door to the master bedroom until I agreed to look at some financing papers. I just stood there and stared at him until he moved. Felt awkward but way better than being pressured into something.

I walked out too when I couldn't even peek in the closets without the agent hovering.

Actually used to think that was normal but wow, total dealbreaker.
