Hot take: I wasted $300 on an "AI fairness" audit last fall and I still feel dumb
I paid a consultant in Denver $300 last September to run a bias audit on our hiring tool because I wanted to be the fair boss. The report just ran the same test I could have done in Excel and told me my data had a problem I already knew about. Now I actually read the EEOC guidance myself and test my own model once a month for free. Has anyone found a cheap tool that actually checks for disparate impact without the sales pitch?
