Ngl, the automated system for prioritizing emergency repairs in my township appears to favor wealthier neighborhoods. Where do we even start to audit this?

Start with public records requests for all repair tickets and their response times.

Public records requests always seemed like too much hassle before. Your fix on repair tickets made me try it. I asked for park bench work orders and found out most sit broken for months. The response times were a joke, honestly. It totally changed how I see getting things done. Now I'm all for digging up the paper trail first.

Seriously! I did the same thing with streetlight outage reports and the backlog was wild. Seeing it in writing totally forces the issue when you bring it up.
