Shoutout to the garbage collection algorithm that keeps skipping our block

It feels like the system is programmed to favor the newer subdivisions over older neighborhoods like mine. Our trash piled up for three days last month while the fancy streets got daily pickups.

That "garbage collection algorithm" might just be an old route map they never updated. I bet the drivers follow a set list and our streets got lost when they redrew the zones years ago. It's less about favoritism and more about a lazy system running on autopilot.

An Excel sheet from 2005 is still in use?

Call the city... enough complaints usually forces an update.

Karen's probably right about the lazy autopilot system lol. It's less a smart algorithm and more like a forgotten excel sheet from 2005. The city just hits print on the same route map every week and hopes for the best. Our block is like that old toy the system's toddler brain has decided to ignore. It's not even malice, just pure neglect that they can't be bothered to fix. Feels like we'd get faster service if the garbage truck's GPS needed a software update.
