DAE remember that 2011 clip of a 'drone' over Utah that got debunked by a guy with a $12 receipt?
About 6 months ago I fell down a rabbit hole and found a forum post from a camera store in Salt Lake City. The owner posted a receipt showing a guy bought a foam glider and a roll of metallic tape on the same day a famous 'triangular UFO' video hit YouTube in 2011. The clip had 4 million views and people were sure it was real. The receipt total was $12.47, and the timestamp matched the upload within a couple hours. I sat there kind of annoyed because I had shown that clip to like five people at a BBQ and acted like I knew what I was talking about. How many of these big viral alien clips are just some dude with a hobby store haul and a free afternoon? Curious if anyone else has a debunk that stuck with them more than the original video did.
