I ran that 'alien metal' clip through 4 free video tools and the fridge gave it away
So a buddy sent me that viral clip of the floating silver rod in a garage, and I got way too into it. I downloaded the 12 second video and ran it through a free frame checker, then slowed it to 0.25 speed on my phone. Frame 47 caught it: the rod's shadow bends a tiny bit where the guy's fridge handle is, which means someone slid a clean layer over the footage. I also lined up the light glare on the floor and it matched the kitchen window, not whatever 'ship engine' hum they added in post. I'm not saying every clip is fake, but this one had 3 telltale edit marks in under 2 minutes of poking at it. Has anyone else tried frame checking on the viral ones, and did your tool catch stuff I missed?
