That weird metallic hum near Area 51 on my road trip last month
I was driving through Nevada on Route 375 back in July and stopped at that little gas station in Rachel. The guy behind the counter told me to listen for a low hum near the dry lake bed at dusk. I parked and rolled down my window and swear I heard this pulsing sound for about 10 minutes before it just stopped dead. Anyone else catch something like that out there or am I just hearing things from too much caffeine?

Dude, I thought I was losing my mind too but yeah, I've heard that exact hum before. Maybe we should both get our caffeine intake checked, haha. I was out near the same spot a couple years ago and got the same weird pulsing sound around dusk, like a giant tuning fork buried somewhere. It went on for a good 15 minutes then just VANISHED, no fade out or anything. Pretty sure it's not just gas station coffee and desert heat doing a number on us.

Read somewhere the military might be testing underground sonar tech out there.

YES! Exactly that, man. I was out hiking near the old Kirtland AFB annex a couple years back, and I swear I heard the SAME thing. It started as this deep, low rumble, almost like a garbage truck idling way off, but then it shifted into a clear pulsing hum. It wasn't like a motor sound, it felt more like it was coming up through the ground, vibrating in my chest. I stood there for like 20 minutes just frozen, and then POP, gone, dead silence like someone flipped a switch. I’ve told people and they just give me a weird look, but I know what I heard. I'm totally on board with this underground sonar theory, something weird is definitely going on out there.
