Everyone screws up their curtain rods and it's making your place look smaller
I hang curtains for people when they move, and the mistake I see in almost every apartment is mounting the rod right above the window frame. That cuts the room in half and makes the ceiling look low. I did mine 4 inches higher and wider than the frame in my Denver spot, and the whole living room reads bigger for the price of one cheap rod. Landlords care way less than you think about a few spackle spots at move out. Has anyone tried this in a place with those concrete ceilings? I can't figure out how to anchor up there.
