Hit move number 7 in 4 years and my deposit situation finally clicked
Last week I packed up my one bedroom in Minneapolis for the 7th time since 2021. Each move I've done the same thing, take photos of every scratch and dent before I even unpack. That habit saved me $350 last month because the old landlord tried to claim a crack in the kitchen tile that was already in my move in pics. I even had the timestamped email from when I sent them over. Has anyone else built a weird filing system for move in evidence and did it ever actually pay off for you?
