Took 5 years to realize my shower curtain rod was installed upside down
Moved into this place back in 2019. Shower curtain always slid to the middle, dripped water on the floor. Drove me nuts. Last month I had to replace the liner and noticed the little rubber stoppers were on the top edge instead of the bottom. Flipped the whole rod around, took maybe 4 minutes. Now the curtain stays put, no more puddle outside the tub. Landlord must have hung it wrong from day one. Anyone else find obvious install mistakes that took forever to spot?
Not sure the rubber stoppers are the thing to flip. Those little nubs hold the rod in place against the wall, not the curtain. The rod itself has a subtle curve or angle, the straight side goes up. That's what keeps the curtain from sliding. Landlord probably hung the curved part wrong. Check the ends, one side usually sits flush, the other has a slight tilt.
