Why does nobody talk about measuring your door frame before buying a couch
When I moved into my 480 square foot place in Cleveland, I bought a couch off Facebook Marketplace without checking anything. Got it up three flights of stairs and it would not fit through the door. Had to take the door off the hinges and still barely squeezed it. My neighbor watched the whole thing and just said "you didn't measure the frame, huh." Now I keep a little note in my phone with every doorway width in my unit. Saved me from buying a desk that would have been a nightmare last month. What measurements do you all keep track of before you buy anything for your place?
Keeping a note with every doorway width is genius, I'd add ceiling height and stairwell turn radius too since that's what actually kills you on big stuff. Had a buddy measure his door perfect then got stuck on the landing because the couch was too long to pivot.
