A trick for those stubborn Whirlpool washer drain pumps
Had one last week that wouldn't prime, so I pulled the drain hose and blew compressed air back through the pump from the outside. Cleared a tiny sock piece jammed in the impeller in about two minutes. Anyone else have a faster way to clear those without pulling the whole pump?

That's not really priming... you just cleared a blockage.

Reminds me of the time my neighbor tried to prime his old lawnmower. He spent an hour pulling the cord before he realized the fuel line was just pinched shut. Sometimes the fix is way simpler than the fancy term for it. You might be onto something there, @ryanm60. It's like calling a jump start "reviving the electrical system" when you just hooked up some cables.
