Bought a $90 "universal" washer drain pump kit and it fit zero of the 3 machines I tried it on
Grabbed one of those so-called universal drain pumps off a parts site back in March thinking it would save me trips to the supply house. Wrong. The mounting tabs were off by about a quarter inch and the hose barb was the wrong size on a Whirlpool and a Maytag, so I ate the cost plus shipping both ways and lost a whole Saturday. Now I keep a few known OEM pumps on the truck instead. Anybody got a parts source in the Midwest that actually lists fitment right?

Universal parts are a trap, I'd rather pay more for OEM and skip the guessing game.
