Customer told me my $95 diagnostic fee was 'just guessing' and now I can't stop thinking about it
He said it to my face in his kitchen in Mesa last Tuesday, right after I found the burned relay on his dryer control board in under 10 minutes. I get that $95 stings, but that guess came from 14 years of opening these things, and the part swap would've cost him $300 if I skipped straight to it. How do you all explain the diagno fee to folks who think we're just throwing darts at it?
