Had a dryer belt snap 20 minutes into a $180 house call in Mesa, do you stock spares or roll the dice?
I was in a packed garage off Dobson Road with the vent hose caked solid, so I had to choose between driving 35 minutes to the truck for a belt or taping the old one and praying, and I want to know if you all carry common belts on every call or just eat the second trip.
Nothing beats the classic 20 minute call that turns into a 2 hour quest because a $12 belt decided to die at the worst time. Taping the old one and praying works great right up until it snaps again and now you're the guy who broke their dryer twice. My rule is simple, carry the belts you see most often or just accept that second trip as part of the job.
