I finally stopped laughing at the retired guy who asked me to fix his dryer 'the old way'
He pulls out a 1978 Kenmore manual from his back pocket at his place in Tulsa and points to a wiring diagram saying 'son, they don't make them like this anymore,' which was funny until I realized the thermal fuse on that 45-year-old machine was actually easier to get to than the one on the 2021 model sitting next to it, so now I'm curious if anyone else keeps old manuals around for reference or am I just becoming him?
