Just hit 500 dryer vent cleanings this year and the numbers are wild

I started tracking them in January and hit the 500 mark yesterday, which means I'm pulling out an average of 2.7 pounds of lint per job. That's over 1,300 pounds of fire hazard removed from people's homes so far. Are you guys seeing similar buildup, or is my area just extra fuzzy?

Honestly, "2.7 pounds of lint per job" is what got me. I used to think a yearly cleaning was just being extra careful. That number makes it real. You're not just cleaning a pipe, you're hauling out a serious risk. It changes how I see the whole job. I'm telling my customers that stat from now on.

That's why numbers beat vague warnings, @paulw53.

Exactly, it turns a maybe into a must-do. I started showing customers a photo of the lint pile next to a 3-pound bag of sugar. That visual really locks it in for them. How do you make the risk feel real for your clients?
