Lost a whole Saturday to a mystery dryer that was just a stuck lint flap
Last month I drove out to a house in Tacoma for a dryer that kept shutting off mid-cycle, and I tore the whole thing apart checking thermal fuses and sensors, must have been 3 hours in for a $95 service call. Turns out the plastic exhaust flap on the outside wall was jammed shut with a dead bird stuck behind it, so the machine was just overheating and resetting on its own. Has anyone else chased an electrical gremlin only to find something completely dumb like that at the vent end?

Dead bird in the flap, that's classic. Those thermostats did their job.
