My $20 telescoping magnet stick beats a borescope for dryer vent clogs
Ran a call in Phoenix where a dryer took 90 minutes per load and the vent line looked clear from the outside. Pulled the blower wheel and found a wad of lint and a child's sock jammed deep in the housing, borescope couldn't see past the first bend. Stuck my telescoping magnetic pick in blind, hooked the sock edge, and yanked the whole mess out in under five minutes. Some guys swear by camera inspection on every clog, but I'm starting to think the cheap mechanical probe wins for speed and reliability on tight 4-inch runs. Anyone else skip the fancy tools and go straight for the dumb method, or am I leaving money on the table by not charging for the scope?

That sock idea is genius, never thought of fishing one out blind like that.
