Old school magnet trick vs. the $40 borescope I finally bought

Used to fish wires and check compressor guts with a fishing magnet and a flashlight, blind guessing half the time. Last month I dropped 40 bucks on a cheap borescope from Harbor Freight and hooked it to my phone, saw a cracked valve inside a fridge compressor in 10 minutes. Anyone else still working blind just because they hate spending money on new tools?
