Showerthought: I keep seeing techs skip the thermal fuse test on dryers
It's a 5 minute check with a multimeter, but I've had three calls this month where someone replaced the whole heating element first. The fuse is a $15 part and it's right there on the blower housing. Anyone else run into this a lot?

Yeah, I read that skipping the thermal fuse test is a super common rookie mistake.

Totally makes sense, it's such an easy thing to miss. I mean, I once spent an hour checking everything else before I finally thought to test the fuse.

Wait, an hour? I would've lost my mind after 15 minutes of that. You have way more patience than me.

Saw a forum post where a guy said he checks the thermal fuse first every single time now. Can't blame him after learning the hard way.
