The 3 ohm rule a retired tech gave me for washer lid switches in Columbus
I was picking up a used multimeter from a retired tech in Columbus last week and he told me to always check lid switch resistance before swapping a control board. He said anything over 3 ohms on a closed switch means the switch is dragging, and I have been chasing boards when it was the switch the whole time. Tried it on two jobs this week and both were the switch. How many of you check switch resistance first or just swap parts and hope?
