Why does everyone push full parts swaps when a washer just needs a 15 minute hose flush?
Had a guy bring in a Whirlpool top loader two weeks ago and he was ready to drop $180 on a new pump because "that's what the YouTube guy showed," but I pulled the drain hose and it was packed with a sock and lint. Took me 15 minutes with a bucket and a coat hanger to clear it, charged him $40, and he stood in my shop in Garland just shaking his head. How many of you are actually checking the simple stuff first, or am I the weird one for not throwing parts at it?
