Met a retired archaeologist at a garage sale who changed how I look at arrowheads

Was browsing junk at a sale in Flagstaff last weekend and this older guy saw me looking at a box of old rocks. He starts telling me about how he spent 30 years digging sites in the southwest and pulls out this tiny broken arrowhead from his pocket. Said it was his favorite find ever because it had a weird chip pattern that showed some kid learning to knap 800 years ago. Never thought about mistakes being cool like that before. Anyone else run into random experts in unexpected places?

Man that's way cooler than my biggest mistake being backing a trailer into a mailbox.

Wait did you at least dent the mailbox or was it a clean hit? The first time I tried to back my boat trailer up a ramp I ended up with the truck tires in the water and everyone on the dock just staring at me like I was an idiot.

Wait, you had your tires in the water and nobody laughed? That's almost impressive. I used to think backing up trailers was just a matter of practicing a few times, like learning to parallel park. Figured if you just go slow enough and keep your hands on the bottom of the wheel you'd be fine. But after watching my buddy try to back his trailer into a spot at the boat ramp last summer, I totally changed my mind. He had his truck almost sideways and the trailer was just doing whatever it wanted, people were honking and everything. That's when I realized some people just have a natural talent for it and the rest of us need to accept we're gonna screw it up sometimes.
