Everyone posts those glossy virtual reconstructions like they're facts, but last month one from the House of the Vettii skipped a collapsed wall that's been on-site for 80 years. We're trading dusty dirt for screen-perfect lies, and that's not preservation, it's erasure. Anyone else bothered by how museums push the clean version over the true ruins?

Actually the Vettii scan I saw did include that collapsed wall, just hidden in the shadows...
