A guy at a bus stop in Cleveland asked me one thing about my job and it stuck with me for 3 weeks
I work at a phone repair kiosk in a mall. Three weeks ago I was waiting for the 26 bus and this older guy asked what I do. I told him I fix cracked screens all day. He asked me a simple thing: what is the weirdest question a customer ever asked you. I laughed and told him about the lady who wanted me to recover texts from a phone she dropped in a lake. He just nodded and said people trust you with their whole lives and you are just trying to get home. I cannot stop thinking about it. It made me realize I answer questions for strangers all day but nobody ever asks me one back. What is the strangest thing a stranger has asked you out of nowhere?
Sounds like that guy was a bus stop philosopher in disguise. Strangest thing a stranger asked me was probably directions to a place that burned down years ago, so maybe we are all just winging it.
