Had to pick between a gas dryer and an electric one when mine died last Tuesday

My old dryer finally gave out in the middle of a load of towels, and I had to choose between a gas hookup I already had or swapping to electric. I went with gas because it was cheaper to run long term, I think the conversion would have cost me around $150 extra. Now a month in, the gas dries stuff in about 35 minutes compared to the 50 my old electric took, but the venting situation was a pain to reroute. Anyone else made that switch and regretted it or was it worth the hassle?

Gas dries way faster but that vent cleaning is a monthly chore now.

Stick with gas, dude. That 35 minute dry time is worth every bit of venting headache.
