Pro tip: I finally got my old scanner to talk to my new laptop by using a specific driver version

It was a 2012 Epson WorkForce scanner that Windows 11 kept rejecting. I found a forum post from 2021 saying to use the 2018 driver, not the newest one, and it worked immediately. Has anyone else had to use an older driver to make a newer OS cooperate?

Yeah, those old drivers can open up real holes in your system. It's a last resort for sure.
