Question about why folks answer their own posts and don't know it

I've been hanging around ask anything threads for about 7 months now and I keep seeing the same thing: a person asks a question, then 3 replies later they answer it themselves and act like someone else did. Last Tuesday a guy in Cleveland asked if cold brew concentrate goes bad, then 20 minutes later posted "you can keep it 2 weeks in the fridge" like it was new info nobody asked for. It bugs me so much. Does anyone else catch this, or am I just reading too many threads late at night?
