Wait, do you mean the paper towels by the sinks? Because those are for everyone. If you actually used someone's personal gym bag towel, that's a whole other level of oops. Most people only touch the blue paper rolls or the big clean stack by the mirrors. Using a fluffy towel from a bench is basically wearing a stranger's socks.

Oh man, my buddy once grabbed a dark green towel folded on a bench thinking it was gym property. Turns out it was some guy's personal towel from his bag. He took a full shower with it before realizing. Had to go scrub down again immediately and just threw the towel away, he was so grossed out. That mistake still haunts him.
