Took a break from screens before bed and my mind is calmer

I used to scroll on my phone until I fell asleep... which left me restless. Started putting it away an hour before bed. Now I read a book or just sit quietly. I'm sleeping better and waking up less anxious. It's a small change, but it made a big difference.

Watched my buddy start charging his phone in the kitchen instead of on his nightstand. He went from lying there checking sports scores to actually finishing a paperback novel. Said the weirdest part was realizing how quiet his bedroom got, just the hum of the fan. Now he claims he's out cold before his head even hits the pillow.

Charging your phone in another room like @stone.river mentioned really helps. It cuts the temptation to scroll and lets your brain wind down.
