Tried replacing my own car battery vs paying a shop to do it

Saved $40 doing it myself in 20 minutes with just a socket wrench on my 2018 Civic. The shop wanted $180 for something that's basically unplugging two wires. Anyone else find car repairs getting way simpler than they used to be?

Just keep an eye on those terminal bolts, they can work themselves loose over time if you don't get them tight enough. Also make sure you've got the right battery size for your car or the hold down clamp won't fit right.

Honestly, that loose terminal bolt thing bit me on my old Camry too. Tightened it with a cheap wrench and it still came loose a week later. Had to buy a torque wrench to really get it snug.
