Warning: Got scammed out of $200 on Facebook Marketplace in Austin last week
Drove 30 minutes to pick up a "gently used" DJ controller I found listed. Guy said it was his son's, barely used. Got there, handed over cash, took the box home. Opened it up and it was a brick wrapped in newspaper. No way to get my money back since I paid cash. Has anyone else run into this kind of swap scam on local listings?

Honestly this whole trust thing is getting harder every day, even with people you think are normal.

Yeah people act cool until something goes wrong then you see the real them.

My buddy Mike paid $150 for a "mint" Xbox and got a bag of rocks instead.
