I thought a cheap phone mount for my telescope was fine, but I was wrong
Spent $25 on a flimsy plastic holder and it dropped my phone twice, almost cracking the screen. A solid metal one for $60 saved my gear and lets me actually take decent moon shots now. Anyone have a good brand for planetary imaging that won't shake?

Wait, isn't the NexYZ for phones? What are you using for a camera on planets?

Celestron's NexYZ is pricey but rock solid for that kind of work.

$129 is a lot for a phone adapter, I get that. But @roberts.leo, I actually think there are better options for less money if you are careful. I have used the NexYZ for a couple of years now on my 8-inch Dob, and honestly, it feels a bit overbuilt for what it does. The plastic on the cheaper adapters is flimsy, sure, but the Celestron is heavy and makes it hard to balance my scope. For the price of that one, I would rather get a decent T-ring and just use a basic camera mount instead. It all depends on what you are shooting with.
