Rant: Cloudy nights wrecking my photo plans again

Honestly, I'll get everything set up and then the sky just fills in. Tbh, it feels like a personal joke at this point. Ngl, I'm starting to hate weather apps.

Yeah, that "natural diffuser" idea is cool, but it completely tanks any chance of catching star trails or the Milky Way.

Read an article that called overcast days a natural diffuser for the sky. Clouds just smooth everything out.

That overcast light is a total game changer for certain shots. Read a piece by a landscape photographer who basically waits for cloudy days to shoot forests or waterfalls. The soft light kills those harsh shadows and weird highlights you get with direct sun. Makes everything look way more smooth and even. Your time-lapse probably got that same even, moody look across all the frames.
