Found a way to pop out a deep door dent with a heat gun and a can of air duster. Did it on a 2018 Civic last Tuesday.

Whoa, hold up. That's a great way to wreck your paint. The heat and sudden cold can make it crack or cloud up real bad.

Is there any proof that this method actually works without messing up the paint? I've seen way too many horror stories online of guys trying this and ending up with paint that looks like a cracked eggshell. The heat gun gets way hotter than people think, especially if you hold it in one spot too long, and then the cold from the duster can shock the paint into peeling or fogging up. I'd rather just pay a paintless dent repair guy a hundred bucks than risk having to repaint a whole panel. Plus, on a 2018 Civic, the clear coat is probably still pretty new and sensitive, so why push your luck with some garage experiment? Honestly, it sounds like a hack that worked once for someone on a beat-up car, not something you should try on a daily driver.
