Found out the hard way that talc is a lifesaver for rubber trim
I had this bumper with weatherstrip that just would not sit right no matter how much I fought it. Tried soapy water, silicone spray, even heat gun it kept folding over and looked like crap. Then this old timer I share a bay with told me to dust the channel with baby powder talc before sliding it in. Took me 10 minutes instead of an hour of cussing. Anyone else got weird dry lubes or powders they use for stuff like this?
