I was in the waiting room at my shop in Tulsa last Tuesday and this guy was on the phone, yelling that we quoted $300 to pull a dent on his fender and he found a place that would do it for $50 with a plunger. I get the price shock, but I wanted to walk out and show him the bare metal and the crease line. The cheap fix usually means bondo slapped on thick or a junk yard pull that cracks the paint in three months. Has anyone else had customers ignore the difference between a quick cosmetic patch and a proper repair until it comes back worse?
