PSA: I dropped $260 on a stud welder for truck bed panels and barely touched it
Bought a stud welder kit back in March thinking I'd use it on every dent job that came through. Turns out maybe 3 out of the 40 panels I did in that time really needed it, the rest pulled fine with my old slide hammer and a little heat. The kit plus the extra studs and tips ran me about $260, and now it just sits on the bench taking up space. My buddy who runs a shop over in Fort Worth warned me to borrow one first before buying, guess I should've listened. Curious what tools you all bought early on that ended up collecting dust, so I can avoid the next mistake.
