Shoutout to my $250 spot welder for saving a door skin yesterday
On a 2015 F150 in my shop last week, the pinch weld on the replacement door was about 3mm off no matter how I clamped it. I almost grabbed the MIG to run a seam but decided to try the cheap spot welder I bought off Craigslist for $250 instead, and it pulled that skin tight in 20 minutes flat. Has anyone else had a budget tool unexpectedly outperform their main setup, or am I just lucky?
