Spent 2 years mixing primer wrong and a painter finally set me straight
I've been doing basecoat work out of my shop near Tacoma for a while, and I always mixed my 2K primer by just eyeballing the ratio. Last Tuesday a guy who does high-end resto work watched me mix a batch and asked if I ever measured it. He showed me that I was running about 15% light on hardener, which explains why I kept getting soft spots after baking at 140 degrees. Has anyone else had a basic step like that slip by them for that long, or is it just me?

Man, that painter probably saved your whole repaint business with one conversation. Three years of mixing epoxy by vibe alone and wondering why things kept failing, that tracks.
