Learned that lesson the hard way myself lol. Get yourself some green frog tape and a good putty knife, press the edges down real tight before painting. Took me a whole weekend with a razor blade to get the dried paint off my baseboards after that mess. Little acetone on a rag works wonders if you catch it quick enough, but once it sets you're basically sanding and refinishing.

Nah man I gotta push back on that a little! I've used the regular blue tape for years and never had bleed issues if you actually take the time to press it down right. Frog tape is just way too expensive for what it is, like double the price for basically the same result. @king.eric mentioned pressing edges down tight and that's the real trick no matter what tape you buy. I bet half the people complaining about paint bleed just rush through the prep work and blame the tape instead.

Frog tape helps but you still gotta press those edges down tight... @aaron_mitchell
