TIL the body shop down on Rt 9 in Poughkeepsie keeps a scrap wall for training new hires
Stopped by a shop in Poughkeepsie on Rt 9 to drop off a fender last week and the owner showed me his scrap wall. It's about 20 feet of junk quarter panels and doors bolted to the wall so new guys can practice pulling dents and laying filler without touching a customer car. He said it cut his redo rate on rookie work way down because they mess up on scrap before they mess up on a paying job. Only catch is he has to swap the panels out every few months once they get too beat up. Curious if any of you run something like this in your shop and how you keep the panels from getting too chewed up.
