Vent: That dealer's 'certified' repair job fell apart in 4 months
Had a customer bring in a 2022 Accord last Tuesday. She said the rear quarter panel repair from a local dealer was bubbling. I put a magnet on it, felt the mud thickness, and yeah, it was a 1/4 inch of filler over bare metal. No primer, no epoxy. They charged her insurance almost $3,400 for that mess. I had to strip it down to the studs and start over. Dealer sent their "certified" tech over to argue with me and he admitted they rushed it to hit monthly bonuses. How do we compete with places like that? Has anyone else had to fix dealer work that bad, or is this just my market?
