Clay bar skeptic no more after that gritty test on my hood
I always thought clay bars were just a gimmick, like paying extra for bottled water. Then last Saturday I ran the baggie test over my 2018 Civic after a winter in Buffalo and felt all that embedded crap, the paint sounded like sandpaper. Spent 25 bucks on a Mother's clay kit and did just the hood, the difference was unreal, smooth as glass. Has anyone else had that moment where they realized their paint was way dirtier than it looked?
Buddy of mine swore up and down his truck was clean until he did the baggie test and nearly dropped the bag. One pass over the roof changed his whole mind about detailing products.
