I called clay bars a waste of money for 5 years, then a guy at a car wash in Phoenix showed me his hood
I always said a good wash and wax was enough, but he ran his hand over the paint and it felt like sandpaper while mine felt smooth. He said "that grit is stuck in your clear coat, wax just covers it up." Now I want to know how often you all actually clay your daily drivers.
