Took forever to trust ceramic coating, finally caved last month
I always thought ceramic coating was just overpriced wax for people with too much money. My neighbor paid $900 to get his truck done in Austin and I figured it'd be gone by winter. Last month I finally tried a DIY kit on my own car hood, the $40 bottle from the auto parts store. Three weeks of rain and road grime later, the water still beads up like day one and bird crap wiped off with just a damp rag. Has anyone else had a cheap kit hold up way better than they expected, or did I just get lucky with the weather here?
