TIL ask a dispatcher for the exact pickup window, not the quote. Saved me $310 on a Corolla from Tucson to Denver
I was comparing 4 brokers for a move and they all quoted $850 to $1100, so I called one dispatcher back and asked when a truck could actually reach my street in Tucson. She told me they only run that lane on Tuesdays, and waiting 5 days for that run dropped my price to $690 because the truck was already half full. The other 3 kept quoting me for a same-week pickup that was never going to happen. Anyone else gotten a real drop just by asking about the actual pickup schedule instead of the number?
